Privacy policy
Hourlane is built so that your work hours stay with you. This policy says plainly what the application and the website do with your data, and what they do not. Data controller: Alexandre Thil, 12 Route de Lutzelbourg, 57370 Phalsbourg, France ("we"). Contact: contact [at] hooliapps.com.
1. The application: your data stays on your phone
Hourlane works without an account. Your hours, tasks, appointments, calendars, pay rules and settings are stored in a local database on your device. We have no access to them and never receive them. The application embeds no analytics, advertising or tracking tool.
The amounts shown (gross, net, revenue) are computed on your device from what you enter. They are estimates; your payslip is the reference.
2. Backup copies
- Folder of your choice: if you pick a folder (Google Drive, phone storage, a card), the application writes dated backup files there. That folder and the service hosting it are your choice and follow their own privacy policy (for example Google's for Google Drive). We do not access it.
- Android backup: when it is enabled on your device, Android copies the application's data into your Google account under Google's policy. You can turn it off in Hourlane > Backup.
- Local copies: daily copies are kept on the device for a week.
3. Synchronisation with your calendars
If you enable it, calendar by calendar, Hourlane reads and/or writes events in your phone's calendars (for example a Google calendar) or reads a calendar published at an ICS address you enter. Written events hold the title, times, break, project or client you entered; never a pay amount. These calendars are run by their provider (Google, Apple, your team, your school…) under its own policy. The calendar permission is only asked when you choose a synchronisation mode, and can be withdrawn in the phone's settings.
When you share a calendar with your team manager, the sharing happens inside the calendar service, between you and them, without going through us.
4. The subscription
Subscriptions are sold and billed by the application stores (Google Play, App Store, Microsoft Store, AppGallery). They process your payment method under their own policy; we receive neither your name nor your payment details, only a technical purchase confirmation (token) that the application verifies.
5. The Team offer: the only processing we host
The Team offer uses a licence server that lets us know that a phone is a member of a paid team. It receives and keeps:
- a random identifier the application creates on each phone (never a hardware or advertising identifier);
- the team identifier and the name its owner gave it;
- the purchase information needed to check with the store (purchase token, reference, number of places, expiry date);
- the invitation codes and the joining and renewal dates.
It never receives your hours, your names, your calendars or the content of your entries. The first names the owner attaches to invitations stay on the owner's phone. These data are hosted by Google Cloud (Firebase) in the European Union, kept while the team exists and then 90 days. Legal basis: the performance of the Team subscription contract (article 6.1.b GDPR). The team owner is the controller of the team members' schedules they read through calendars; we act only as a processor for the licence, and provide a data processing agreement on request.
6. The website
The website sets one functional cookie, "lang", to remember the language (one year). No advertising or analytics cookie. The host (OVH SAS) keeps technical connection logs (IP address, requested page, date) for the legal duration, for the security of the service. When you write to us, we keep your message and address while handling your request, and at most three years.
7. Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over the data we process (that is, the licence server's data and our email exchanges). Data in the application are under your direct control on your device: exports, backups, deletion. To exercise your rights: contact [at] hooliapps.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or the authority of your country.
8. Minors
Hourlane is meant for people who work. It is not directed to children under 16 and knowingly collects no data about them.
9. Changes
This policy may change with the application. The date of the latest version is below; a material change is announced in the application.
